A person who supports families that are considering breastfeeding, having difficulty with breastfeeding/lactation or who have questions about the process. A CLC has completed a class and passed an exam.

- preparing for breast/chestfeeding
- returning to work
- questions about pumping
- breast/chestfeeding or pumping is painful
- milk supply
- latch on difficulty
- sore/damaged nipples
- plugged/clogged ducts
- slow weight gain
- milk expression
