EOP Book CoverThe East Baton Rouge Parish All Hazards Emergency Operations (EOP) conforms to the basic plan as set forth in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) guidelines for the Integrated Emergency Management System and is consistent with the accepted standards and principles of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) concept.

The East Baton Rouge Parish All Hazards Emergency Operations (EOP) represents a concerted effort by the consolidated government of East Baton Rouge Parish to provide resources and assistance in an expeditious manner to save lives, ensure the safety of citizens and the Parish, ensure the health of citizens, protection of property, ensure protection of the environment, ensure the restoration of utilities, ensure the restoration of essential program functions, and include coordination with East Baton Rouge Parish stakeholders. The East Baton Rouge Parish All Hazards Emergency Operations (EOP) adheres to and incorporates the five phases of emergency management to plan for all hazards that may potentially impact East Baton Rouge Parish.

The East Baton Rouge Parish All Hazards Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) sets forth appropriate actions to be taken in response to a disaster; including the potential or imminent threat of any event. Further, this plan facilitates the coordination for the delivery of parish resources and services necessary to deal with the consequences of a disaster. The plan outlines planning assumptions, policies, concepts of operations, organizational structures, and specific assignments of responsibilities to the departments and agencies tasked with local response efforts.
